Cookies are small pieces of data stored by a website or its service providers. Local storage is a similar browser feature that can keep data on your device. Both can help a website remember a session, preferences, or saved work.
2. What UniSimpler uses
- Essential security and session technologies: needed to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and keep requested features working.
- Google sign-in: Google and Firebase may use cookies or similar technologies to complete authentication, protect accounts, and remember a signed-in session.
- Local study storage: when you are signed out, UniSimpler may save generated study sets and interface preferences in your browser so they remain available on that device.
- Basic service measurement: hosting providers may process technical requests and aggregated traffic measurements needed to operate, secure, and understand the service.
3. What we do not currently use
UniSimpler does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party marketing trackers to build an advertising profile about you. If that changes, this notice will be updated and any consent required by law will be requested before optional tracking begins.
4. Your controls
You can remove cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may sign you out, remove locally saved study sets, or stop parts of UniSimpler from working. Google also provides its own account and privacy controls for Google sign-in.
